Existing and new maps will still use our unique physics-based algorithm by default, which we've called Wisdomap Organic for the beautiful, organic looking maps it creates.

But if you prefer a more conventional looking mind map you can now use the new Wisdomap Classic algorithm, in which nodes branch out horizontally connected by elegant curved lines. The nodes, of course, are still colourful, bold and readable.

As ever, Wisdomap is in active development and we welcome all feedback on any changes we introduce and ideas for future features.
Download maps as JPG http://www.wisdomap.com/blog/ Tue, 31 March 2009 23:00:00 +0000

By popular request, mind maps can now be downloaded in JPG format as well as in PNG and PDF format.

Multi line nodes http://www.wisdomap.com/blog/ Thu, 12 February 2009 00:00:00 +0000

As of today, longer nodes in mind maps will break into two or more lines.

This improves readability of the nodes and map as a whole, makes the maps appear more natural, and allows the nodes to be closer together, so that the whole map can be viewed in a smaller window or screen.
Happy New Year! http://www.wisdomap.com/blog/ Wed, 7 January 2009 18:00:00 +0000

Happy New Year from the Wisdomap team!

We hope 2009 will be a great year for Wisdomap and all its users! This increases the visual impact of mindmaps, and more importantly significantly increases readability, especially in classroom situations where mind maps are displayed on projectors or digital whiteboards.

If you would prefer less bold text in your mind maps, you can revert to the older style using the "use lighter text" option in the preferences section on the manage account page.
Add BBC videos http://www.wisdomap.com/blog/ Tue, 28 October 2008 22:00:00 +0000

You can now add videos from the BBC news website as well as from YouTube to the media section of nodes in your mind map.

Simply copy and paste the URL of the news page which has the video embedded and Wisdomap will automatically locate the article, retrieve a thumbnail of the video and attach it to the node.
Upgrade account http://www.wisdomap.com/blog/ Mon, 27 October 2008 21:00:00 +0000

We've redesigned the 'manage account' page to make it really easy to upgrade your account subscription level. The crashing pound has brought the dollar prices for Wisdomap accounts right down, making it an excellent time for US users to upgrade their accounts!

The new manage account page also has a few new preference settings to tweak how Wisdomap works for you. We aim to add to these in the future.
Compatibility fixes http://www.wisdomap.com/blog/ Thu, 16 October 2008 20:00:00 +0000
Today we released a minor update with a range of compatibility fixes.

The text2map function now works properly in Safari

Multiple fixes for the application in Internet Explorer 7
